Abstract: This paper proposes a variable dc link voltage and swicthed capacitor control for wireless power transfer (WPT) using power factor correction (PFC) converter. When variable dc link voltage control is applied to PFC converter, the output voltage regulation can be achieved without changing the switching frequency of primary side inverter. In addition, the switched capacitor control is employed to compensate for self-inductance variations under different misalignment conditions. By applying the proposed hybrid control, both output voltage regulation and high-power factor can be achieved. Finally, to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control, a 1.2 kW simulation study is performed under different misalignment conditions. © 2024 IEEE.
