Abstract: Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) is a well known method that helps managers plan, schedule, monitor, and control large and complex projects. In classical PERT activity durations are represented with crisp numbers. However, decision makers often have difficulty in estimating the durations of activities precisely. In order to overcome this difficulty, fuzzy PERT is proposed by various authors in the literature. The aim of this paper is to determine the completion time and critical path of the cylinder dryer machine installation process in a textile company. The activity durations are represented by triangular fuzzy numbers. Two fuzzy PERT methods proposed by different authors are employed to find the degrees of criticality of each path in the network. And comparison of these two methods is also given. © 2008 Old City Publishing, Inc.
