Abstract: Myocardial injury that can occur at cardiac surgery is one of the most important mortality and morbidity factor beside the surgical technique and success. The term of myocardial protection is determined by all process to minimize that injury. Myocardial injury that occurs because of insufficient or false myocardial protection causes mortality and high dose pharmacological or mechanical support requirement at early stage of surgery, while it indicates myocardial fibrosis at late phase.
