Abstract: In this research, we studied the techniques for production of CO2 by using non-condensable gas containing CO2 at a rate of 96%, obtained from the condenser of the thermal plant set up at Kızıldere Geothermal area. Moreover, CO2’s share in unit cost was analysed with regard to different production methods that are used for CO2. On the other hand, the production of CO2 from geothermal fluid and by other methods have were analysed in terms of production cost, and it was found out that producing CO2 from geothermal fluid is 13–20% cheaper than other methods. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd
