Abstract: Proverbs, which comes from past to now, curtailing by man to provide its memorability and transformed routines, are anonymous statements. They had been work as a guide that transfer our cultural codes to next generation with their properties and they are transferred from mouth to mouth. They are formed through longtime observations and take form with experiences, so they have an important place in shared value. They are connective Turkish world because they have certain characteristic such as gathering community, providing cultural association, procuring unity and solidarity, expressing common perception and common thinking. !e fact that proverbs that frequently talk about mind were a communal area is also an indicator of common mind. Proverbs about mind were approached as their meanings and examined in terms of shared values. Proverbs which are used in all over the Turkish world were chosen as indicators of cultural union and common mind and they were evaluated in common universe of thought.
