dc.description.abstract | In this study, elastic-plastic stress analysis of Functionally Graded (FG) discs subjected to constant angular velocity is investigated. Yielding behavior of the disc material is considered to be non-work hardening case. Elasticity modulus, density and yield strength of the disc vary radially according to a power law function. To see the distribution of the plastic region, different angular velocities are taken into consideration for such an analysis. Radial and tangential stress components are obtained for the angular velocities and gradient parameters. It is seen that the results obtained from analytical and numerical (ANSYS®) solutions are in good agreement. © 2015 Elsevier Ltd All rights reserved. | en_US |
