Ahmed Mithat Efendinin "Müşahedat" adlı eserinin söz dizimi açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Bir milleti meydana getiren ve ayakta tutan en önemli unsurlardan biri dildir. Dil belli öğelerden meydan gelen bir sistemdir. Bu sistemin öğelerinden olan cümleyi ve cümle türlerini, cümleyi meydana getiren kelimeleri ve kelime gruplarının sıralanışlarını, birbiriyle olan ilişkilerini inceleyen bilim dalına söz dizimi (sentaks, cümle bilgisi) denir. Toplumların kullandıkları dilin yapısının, özelliklerinin, kullanışlarının öğrenilmesi için söz dizimi çalışmaları önemli bir yere sahiptir. Yapmış olduğumuz bu çalışma Ahmed Mithat Efendi'nin "Müşahedat" adlı romanındaki kelime grupları ve cümle türleriyle oluşturulmuş bir söz dizimi çalışmasıdır. Mithat'ın bu romanı edebiyat tarihimizin ilk natüralist romanı olarak nitelendirildiğinden önemli bir yere sahiptir. Hem Müşahedat romanının öneminden hem de Ahmed Mithat Efendinin Tanzimat döneminde dilde sadeleşme hareketinin öncülerinden olması bizi bu romanı incelemeye sevk etmiştir. Çalışmamızın "Giriş" bölümünde "Ahmed Mithat Efendi'nin Hayatı, Edebi Kişiliği, Eserleri ve Müşahedat Romanı" ile ilgili bilgi verilmiştir. Çalışmamız "Kelime Grupları" ve "Cümle" şeklinde iki bölümden oluşturulmuştur. Her bölümün alt başlıkları incelenirken dilcilerin görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Romanın tamamı incelenmiş ve her konu için örnekler toplanmıştır. Örnekler verilirken sekiz bölümden oluşan romanın her bölümünden üçer örnek verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmayı hazırlarken faydalandığımız kaynakların bibliyografsı son bölümde verilmiştir. "Sonuç" bölümünde romandaki kelime grupları ve cümle yapılarıyla ilgili sayısal değerlendirilmeler ve buna bağlı olarak yorum yapılmıştır.

Language is one of the fundamental elements that keep a nation together. Language is a system consisting of certain structures. Syntax is the order of words within a sentence to convey meaning. It is the study of producing sentences from words, phrases and types of sentences. Syntactical studies are of great importance to find out about the linguistic structures of a language spoken by a nation. This work is a syntactical analysis of Müşahedat, a work by Ahmet Mithat Efendi through phrases and types of sentences. His novel is important in that it was the first naturalist novel in Turkish Literature. Apart from this, the fact that Ahmet Mithat was one of the forerunners of the movement of simplification in language was another reason why I chose to study this novel. The introduction of the work deals with his life, literary personality, works as well as his novel 'Müşahedat'. The work consists of two parts: Phrases and sentences. The views by linguists were included in the sub-headings of each part. The examples for each sub-heading were collected by studying the whole novel. Three examples out of each of the eight chapters were given. The sources are at the end of the work. The conclusion part shows digital evaluations and interpretations of the phrases and the sentence structures in the novel.
