The purpose of the current study is to identify the views of visual arts teacher candidates studying at Pamukkale University on conceptual arts. In this sense, convenience purposive sampling within qualitative research was used. As for the data gathering instrument, an open-ended question form was used in order for students to express their views in writing. The questions were finalized through expert opinion of three faculty members in the area. 47 students studying at 4th year answered the questions. The answers were analysed through descriptive content analysis and themes and concept codes were identified. The findings were then interpreted by the researchers.
