Meme kanseri tanısı ile postoperatif adjuvan radyoterapi uygulanan olgularda geç yan etkilerin LENT/SOMA skalasına göre değerlendirilerek yaşam kalitesinin arttırılması amaçlanmıştır. 1994 - 2010 yılları arasında Ege Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Radyasyon Onkolojisi Bölümü'nde radyoterapi uygulandıktan sonra 6 ay ve üzerinde izlenen meme kanserli 156 olguda meme operasyonu, aksilla operasyonu, aksilla diseke edilen lenf nodu sayısı, menapoz durumu , diabet , yaş ,obesite , tedavi cihazı ,hormonoterapi , evre , kemoterapi ve radyoterapi dozu gibi faktörlerin geç yan etkilere etkisi kikare testi ile analiz yapılarak istatistiksel açıdan araştırılmıştır. Olguların medyan yaşı 52 (aralık: 23 - 84) ' dir. Meme operasyonu yapılmayan sadece 1 olgu olup mastektomi 78 olguya , meme koruyucu cerrahi 68 olguya uygulanmıştır. Aksilla disseksiyonu yapılan 99 , sentinel / nonsentinel lenf bezi biopsisi uygulanan 28 , aksiller diseksiyon ve sentinel lenf bezi biyopsisi yapılan 15 ve diseksiyon yapılmayan 14 olgu mevcuttur.Disseksiyon yapılan olgularda çıkarılan lenf bezi sayısı medyan 14 ' dir. Radyoterapi 62 olguda yalnız meme - göğüs duvarına, 94 olguda meme - göğüs duvarı ve periferik lenfatiklere yönelik uygulanmış, 31 olguda Co - 60 tedavi cihazı, 125 olguda lineer akselatör kullanılmıştır. Kemoterapi 107 olguda, hormonoterapi ise 130 olguda uygulanmıştır. Çalışmamızın sonucuna göre radyoterapi ile ilgili geç yan etkiler meme operasyonu, aksilla operasyonu, aksilladan diseke edilen lenf nodu sayısı, meme /göğüs duvarı sahasına supra ve aksilla sahasının eklenmesi, tedavi cihazı, evre, kemoterapi, radyoterapi dozu gibi birçok faktörden etkilenmektedir. Yan etki gelişimine neden olan faktörlerin bilinmesi ve tedavi sırasında gözönünde bulundurulması yaşam kalitesini arttıracaktır.en_US
Late side effects of postoperative adjuvant radiotherapy in patients with breast cancer are evaulated with LENT / SOMA scale and we aimed to increase the quality of life in this retrospective study. 156 patients with breast cancer who were treated with radiotherapy during 1994 and 2010, followed six months and up at the Department of Radiation Oncology Ege University Faculty of Medicine were included in our study. Factors effecting late side effects such as type of breast surgery, axillary surgery, the number of axillary lymph nodes dissected, menopausal status, diabetes, age, obesity, treatment device, hormonal stage, chemotherapy and radiotherapy dose in patients were investigated statistically. Statistical analysis were done with chi-square test. Median age was 52 (range: 23-84). One case has not gone surgery , 78 cases had total mastectomy and 68 cases had breast conserving surgery . 99 cases had axillary dissection, 28 had sentinel / nonsentinel lymph node biopsy , 15 cases had axillary dissection and sentinel lymph node biopsy and 14 cases did not have axillary disectio n and / or sentinel lymph node biopsy . The median number of lymph nodes was 14 . 62 cases had received radiotherapy alone to the breast or the chest wall, 94 cases had received radiotherapy to the breast or the chest wall and peripheral lymphatics. 31 cases had been treated with Co - 60 , 125 cases had been treated with linear accelerator . Chemotherapy was given to107 cases and , hormonal therapy was applied to 130 cases. Late side effects of radiotherapy are influenced by many factors such as the type of breast surgery, axillary surgery, number of lymph nodes dissected from the axilla, breast / chest wall treatment area and wheather supraclavicular and axillar treatment volume had been added , type of radiotherapy machine, stage, chemotherapy, dose of radiotherapy treatment according to this study. Known factors which lead to the development of side effects and taken into consideration during treatment improve the quality of life .en_US
