Bedenin sosyo-politik inşasında erillik ve dişillik: türk sinemasında beden imajı

Abstract

Bu çalışma, bedenin özellikle de cinsiyetli bedenin, sosyal hayatta inşa olduğunu savunan teorilere dayanarak Türk Sineması’nda beden sunumlarının değişiminin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda öncelikle beden kavramının felsefede ve sosyal bilimlerde ne anlama geldiği ve nasıl bir öneminin olduğu aktarılmıştır. Ardından sosyolojinin beden konusuna bakışı, klasik sosyolojiden, çağdaş sosyolojiye özetlenmiştir. Bedenlerin cinsiyetleri toplumsallaşma sürecinde önem teşkil ettiğinden, toplumsal cinsiyet açısından erillik ve dişillik tartışması ortaya konulmuştur. Bunun da ardından bedenin, söylemden önce var olmadığı yönündeki fikirleriyle dikkat çekmiş olan Michel Foucault ve Judith Butler’ın kuramları farklı yönlerden incelenmiştir. Teorik çerçevenin ardından beden inşasının toplumsal hayatta oluşup oluşmadığını ortaya koymak amacıyla, Türk Sinema filmlerinde beden sunumları incelenmiştir. Bunun için 1970 ile 1999 yılları arasında çekilmiş Türk Sineması filmlerinden bir seçki oluşturulmuş, bedensel değişimi en iyi yansıttığı düşünülen 6 film seçilmiştir. Bu filmler, kahramanın yolculuğunda bedeninin durumunu, değişimini; bedenin cinsiyetli olmasından hareketle erillikler ve dişillikler dikkate alınarak analiz edilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to examine the changes in the presentations of body in Turkish Cinema based on the works which argue that the body, and particularly the sexed body, is built within the social life. In this respect, the meaning and the significance of the concept of body in philosophy and social sciences were explained first. Then, the body view of sociological theories from classical sociology to contemporary sociology was summarized. As the genders of bodies are important in the socialization process, masculinity and femininity in terms of social gender were discussed. Afterwards, the theories of Judith Butler and Michel Foucault, who draw attention with their ideas that the body did not exist before discourse, were examined from different aspects. Following the theoretical framework, presentations of the body in Turkish movies were examined in order to determine whether the construction of the body really happened in social life. For this purpose, a selection of Turkish movies shot between 1970 and 1999 was taken, and 6 films which were thought to reflect the change in the body best were selected. These films were analyzed by considering the state and change of the body through the journey of the hero, and the masculinities and femininities as the body of the hero has a sex.
