Abstract

I‘rab al-Qur’an, which is important on the understanding of Qur’an is a sub-branch of the Quranic sciences (ulum al-Qur’an) and linguistic exegesis. In this study, the current situation in the i‘rab al-Qur’an of Ottoman period researches is briefly evaluated in the introduction. Then, in the section that constitutes the main content of the study, a litera-type map was sought out by determining the main course of the independent studies of the i‘rab al-Qur’an of Ottoman period researches. In addition, the original aspects of the works are put forward and it is aimed to determine what size they contribute to the space. Many works have been copyrighted in different systems in the area of i‘rab al-Qur’an. Therefore, it is possible to consider the literature in the context of different classifications. In this study, a categorical and structural presentation of the works was realized. The six-century period from the foundation of the Ottoman state to its collapse corresponds to the turn of the century in which the i‘rab al-Qur’an earned its depth. This period, in which important works are given in the history of i‘rab al-Qur’an, is a time period in which rich works are written and the i‘rab al-Qur’an works is continued in depth. It is noteworthy that the written works focus mostly on the i‘rab, which is mentioned as the fundamental evidences of the controversial issues of Islamic science such as kelam and fiqh. Along with Arabic morphology and Arabic syntax, rethoric and logic science were used intensively in the mentioned works.
