Thomas Hobbes ve Adam Smıth’de özgürlük sorunu

Abstract

Bu çalışma Thomas Hobbes ve Adam Smith’in düşünce sisteminde özgürlük sorununun temellendirilmesi ve karşılaştırılması ile ilgilidir. Aynı zamanda insanın doğası, doğal hak ve özgürlük üzerinden pozitif hukuka geçiş sürecini göstermektir. Thomas Hobbes ve Adam Smith özgürlük kavramını siyasi ve ekonomik olarak iki farklı şekilde yorumlamışlardır. Her iki filozofta birey ve devlet ilişkisi üzerinden insanın özgürlüğünü ele almıştır. Çalışmamızın amacı düşünce tarihinde birçok düşünür ve ideoloji tarafından tartışma konusu olan özgürlük kavramı üzerinde siyasal ve ekonomik anlamda önemli bir yere sahip olan Thomas Hobbes ve Adam Smith’in özgürlük düşünceleri hakkında temellendirme ve incelemelere katkıda bulunmaktır. Bu nedenle özgürlük kavramı siyasi ve ekonomik olmak üzere iki önemli nokta üzerinden incelenmiştir. Son olarak özgürlük ve devlet ilişkisi üzerinde durulmuştur. İnsanların toplum içinde kaostan uzak, ekonomik özgürlüklere sahip ve güvenli bir şekilde yaşayabilmeleri için devletin gerekliliği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

This study is about justification and comparison of the problem of freedom in the thought system of Thomas Hobbes and Adam Smith both from the foundation and comparison side. At the same time, human nature shows the process of transition to positive law through natural rights and freedom. Thomas Hobbes and Adam Smith interpreted the concept of freedom in two different ways; politically and economically. Both philosophers have dealt with the freedom of man through the relationship between the individual and the state. The aim of our study is to contribute to the foundations and investigations of Thomas Hobbes and Adam Smith, who have an important political and economic place on the concept of freedom which is the subject of debate by many thinkers and ideologies in the history of thought. For this reason, the concept of freedom has been examined through two important points: political and economic. Finally, the relationship of freedom and state is emphasized. It is concluded that the state is necessary for people to live safely in a free society with economic freedoms and away from chaos.
