Mazhar Müfit Kansu ve siyasi faaliyetleri (1923-1939)

Abstract

I. Dünya Savaşının ardından Osmanlı Devleti idari sistemi içerisinde çok önceden başlamış olan karışıklıklar iyice artmıştı. Yeni dönemde Damat Ferit Hükümeti İttihat ve Terakki taraftarı olan idarecileri çeşitli bahanelerle görevlerinden azletmekteydi. Mazhar Müfit Kansu'da azledilen valiler arasında yer almış ve görevini bıraktıktan sonra Milli Mücadele saflarına katılarak Erzurum'a gelmiştir. Burada Mustafa Kemal Paşa ile tanışması ve onu desteklemesi Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devletini kuran kişiler arasında yer almasını sağlamıştır. Milli Mücadele devam ederken Hakkâri milletvekili olarak son Osmanlı Mebusan Meclisinde ve Büyük Millet Meclisinde yer alan Mazhar Müfit Kansu, Cumhuriyetin ilan edilmesi ile Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi'nin II. Döneminde Denizli'den milletvekili olmuştur. II. Yasama Döneminde başlayan Denizli milletvekilliği VI. Yasama Dönemine kadar devam etmiştir ve VI. ve VII. Dönemde Çoruh milletvekili olarak Mecliste yer almıştır. Çoruh milletvekilliğinden sonra siyasi yaşama veda etmiştir. Meclis içerisinde, birçok komisyonun üyeliğini ve başkanlığını yapmıştır. Birçok teklif, takrir, mazbata vermiş ve birçok konuda Bakanlara yazılı ve sözlü soru sormuştur. Meclis dışında Kayseri ve Elazığ'da çeşitli görevler üstlenmiş ve İstiklal Mahkemesi Başkanlığı ve üyeliklerinde de bulunmuştur.Milletvekilliği görevini bıraktıktan sonra çok uzun bir süre geçmeden 13 Kasım 1948 tarihinde vefat etmiştir. After World War I, long began disorders in administrative system of Ottoman Empire increased thoroughly. In the new period, the government of Damat Ferit was dismissing the administrators which were supporting the Committee of Union and Progress. Mazhar Müfit Kansu has taken place among them too, after leaving his duty he came to Erzurum for taking the side of Nationalist Movement. In this place, he met with Mustafa Kemal Pasha and supported him, by this means he took a place among the people who founded the Republic of Turkey. During Nationalist Movement, Mazhar Müfit Kansu, took part in the last Ottoman Chamber of Deputies and The Grant National Assembly as deputy of Hakkari. With the proclamation of the Republic, in the second period of The Grant National Assembly, he became a deputy of Denizli. His deputyship of Denizli, began in the Second Legislative Session and continued until the Sixth Legislative Session. With the Sixth Session and after that in the Seventh Session he took place in the Assembly as the deputy of Çoruh. After his deputyship of Çoruh, he abondoned the political life. In the Assembly, he became a member of many committees and took the chair of them. He did many offers, submitted motions, gave many certificates of election and ask many written and oral questions to the Ministers. Other than the Assembly times, he took on many various tasks in Kayseri and Elazığ. He also served in the Presidency and Membership of Independence Courts.Soon after he left his deputyship, passed away in 13 November 1948.
