The North Gate opens to the square in front of the North Gate and the North Colonnaded Street on both sides of this street, the east and west porticos belonging to the Roman Imperial Period reside. The floor of the east portico was decorated with mosaics in early Byzantine Period. The mosaic decoration has a length of 34,90 meters and a width of 3,90 meters. The mosaic decorations are made up of 7 panels which are parallel to each other and aligned on a line and bordered with dark colored mosaics. In the light of the remains, the mosaics were dated back between end of the 4th century and 5th century AD and used for its intended purpose until the first half of the 7th century AD. After that era, the area having mosaic decorations are thought to be used for different purposes. This study deals with the archaeological and ornamental assessment of the mosaic.
