Türkiye'de günümüze kadar yapılmış olan toplumsal dilbilim çalışmalarına genel bir bakış

Abstract

“Türkiye?de Günümüze Kadar Yapılmış Olan Toplumsal Dilbilim Çalışmalarına Genel Bir Bakış” ba?lıklı tezimizde Ferdinand De Saussure?ün dil/söz ayrımından hareketle, modern dilbilimin ı?ığında, dil ve toplum ili?kileri çerçevesinde ortaya çıkan toplumsal dilbilim alanına dair, geni? kapsamlı literatür taraması yapılmı?tır. Bu tez öncelikle toplumsal dilbilim kapsam alanını belirlemi? ve bu kapsamda ba?lıklar ve alt ba?lıklar halinde söz konusu disiplini ele almı?tır. Bu tezin asıl amacı Türkiye?de toplumsal dilbilim çalı?malarını bilim özelliğine kavu?turma çabasına bir katkı sağlamak ve elde edilen verileri artzamanlı yöntemle derlemektir. Tezimizin diğer amacı bu alandaki kavram karma?asına son vermektir. Tezimizde bu alanda ülkemizde yapılan uygulamalardan bazıları incelenmi?tir. Çalı?mamızda toplumsal dilbilimin ülkemizde yeterince tanınmadığı, az sayıda bilim insanı tarafından merak edildiği, popüler hale gelmediği tezi savunulmu?tur. Nevin Selen ve özellikle Kâmile ?mer gibi bilim insanlarının çalı?maları toplumsal dilbilimi Türkiye?de tanıtmı?tır. “Dil planlaması, argo, dil ve cinsiyet, dil türleri, ikidillilik ve ödünçleme” gibi konularda yazılan makaleler dikkat çekici sayıdadır. Son yıllarda insanların duygu ve dü?üncelerinin, tercihlerinin merak edilip anket vb. tekniklerle belirlenmesi, toplumsal dilbilime ilginin artacağı görü?ünü destekler. In our thesis entitled “A General Overview of Sociolinguistics Studies Done Until Today in Turkey” we have made a comprehensive literature review in respect of sociolinguistics field that is developed within the scope of language and community relations in the light of modern linguistics with reference to Ferdinand De Saussure?s language/parole distinction. Primarily this dissertation determines the content of sociolinguistics field and discusses the discipline in question in titles and subtitles within this framework. The essential objective of this thesis is to contribute to striving for bringing the sociolinguistics studies in Turkey to the feature of science and to compile the acquired data diachronically. Another goal of our thesis is to terminate incomprehensibility in this field. Some of practices performed in our country within this field are analysed in our thesis. Hereby in our study it is argued that sociolinguistics is not well known in our country, few scientists are concerned about it, and it has not caught on. Studies of scientists such as Nevin Selen and especially Kâmile ?mer have introduced sociolinguistics in Turkey. There are a considerable number of articles which are written about topics like “language planning, argot, language and gender, language types, bilingualism and borrowing”. In recent years, being concerned about people?s emotions, thoughts, and preferences, and determining them through techniques such as survey etc. supports the idea that the interest in sociolinguistics will rise.
