Abstract: It is aimed to determine the environmental risk perception and environmental attitudes of individuals who participate actively in recreational mountaineering and outdoor sports (hiking, trekking, camping, etc.) activities in Turkey. The research group consisted of 88 volunteer individuals who participated actively in recreational mountaineering and outdoor sports activities in Turkey. Data from the study was collected online via 'Google Forms' using the 'Personal Information Form', 'Environmental Risk Perception Scale and 'Environmental Attitude Scale using a screening model from quantitative research methods. Data were examined through SPSS 20.0 program by using per cent (%), frequency (f), arithmetic average, Kruskal Wallis H, Tukey HSD, Mann Whitney U tests and Spearman's rho correlation analyses. The study found significant differences in environmental risk perception compared to gender and age variables. Significant differences were found when comparing Environmental Attitudes to educational level. There is a positive and low-level relationship between Environmental Risk Perception and Environmental Attitudes (r = 0.450; p = 0.000, p < 0.01).
