Laodikeia Antik Kenti–Kazı Evi çevresi peyzaj tasarım süreci

Abstract

The landscape design process of the excavation house of the ancient city Laodikeia Laodikeia Antique City, which is a crucial point in the physical and social structure of Denizli province, is a ruin taken into the UNESCO’s temporary list of world heritage in 2013. There are excavations, restoration and conservation work going on for 12 months of the year in order to research, document, archive, protect, transfer the cultural heritage of the antique city to the next generations and integrate it into tourism. Improving the productivity of such work, highly significant in terms of revealing world cultural heritage, is crucial both for Denizli and for our country. Preparation of the landscape design of the excavation house planned functionally and aesthetically correct will improve the quality of the visual environment and will affect the working performance of the human resource working in the site by meeting their cultural and social requirements. In this study, a landscape project is prepared in line with the layout of the site, photographs and documents, topographic map, 1/1.000 scaled tentative plan, field studies, literature reviews and interview with the head of the excavation. Within this project, a design including materials that will not mask the cultural values of the site and will not affect the field properties and equipment which can be removed and/or can be moved when necessary as well as landscape plants that will not harm the archeological ruins while growing is offered.
