Abstract: In this study, hydration heat values of same type cements are determined using two different methods. These methods are Beckman Thermometer method, which is stated at TS 687 standard, and ToniCAL Calorimeter method. Usage of ToniCAL calorimeter is easier. It can be calculated automatickly. While determining hydration heat of cement, using ToniCAL calorimeter is more advantageous because of uninterrupted determination of heat. It is a very useful method for determination of hydration heat of cement, when it is to study hydration at fixed heat. ToniCAL calorimeter method is more realistic than Beckman Thermometer method. In ToniCAL calorimeter method, the reaction between cement and water is observed. Period of experiment is very short and process is very easy. Also, time saving is another is superiority of ToniCAL instrument. Change of hydration heat can be observed in calorimeter method. At the end of the study, it is not observed that so many differences of the hydration heats, which are determined using both methods.
