Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine early adolescents' levels of irrational beliefs in regard to some socio-demographic characteristics. The Irrational Beliefs Scale for Adolescents, developed by Civitci (2006), and a personal information form were given to 405 students from 6th to 8th grades. Data were analyzed by one-way. analysis of variance, t-test, and non-parametric tests. The findings of the study indicated that there were significant differences amongst students' levels of irrational beliefs in terms of parents' educational level, perceived parental attitudes, perceived academic achievement, and the number of siblings. There were no differences observed in terms of gender, age, grade, mother's job status and family structure.
