Abstract: The aim of this study was to investigate the upper level profession related expectations and the expectations that are hoped to be met in the highest level of pre-service teachers. For this aim, at the end of the 2003-2004 teaching year, "Expectations from Teaching Profession Questionnaire", which was developed by the researchers, was applied to 401 senior students in various departments of Education Faculty and 115 students attending Non-Thesis Master's Program in Pamukkale University. In the Questionnaire, the expectations from teaching profession were investigated in four areas of questionnaire including social, economical, professional development, and legal-managerial arrangements. The results revealed that both groups have similar expectations in teaching profession. Yet, Non-Thesis Master's group had lower level of hopes that their expectations will be met in the high level in the teaching profession than the Education Faculty students.
