dc.description.abstract | Industrialisation and the increase of urbanisation and concretisation, especially in metro-politan cities, have increased people’s longing for nature. The need to get away from the city’s routine, pollution, noise, and chaos has resulted in a growth in outdoor recreational activities. In this way, open spaces, parks, and urban woods have become hotspots for recreational activity. The purpose of this study is to identify the existing opportunities and open space sportive recreation potential of the Denizli Camlik Urban Forest. The method created by Gulez in conformity with Turkish conditions and allowing to estimate the recreational potential of recreational areas in forests was employed for this purpose. As a result of the research, it was discovered that Denizli’s city forest has a high potential to fulfill the expectations of an in-forest recreation area. © 2023, Scibulcom Ltd..
