Yeni teknolojilerin dil becerilerinin öğretimine yansımaları

Abstract

Dinleme, konuşma, okuma ve yazma becerileri, dil öğretiminin bireylere kazandırmayı hedeflediği temel becerilerdir. Bu becerilerin öğretiminde geçmişten günümüze kadar farklı yöntem ve teknikler kullanılmıştır. Bu yöntem ve tekniklerin uygulanmasında birçok farklı araç ve gereçten yararlanılmış, teknolojinin sunduğu imkânlara başvurulmuştur. Son yıllarda gelişen teknoloji ile birlikte özellikle bilgisayarlar, tabletler ve akıllı telefonlar, öğretim ortamlarına büyük bir zenginlik ve çeşitlilik kazandırarak dil öğretimi açısından vazgeçilmez başvuru kaynağı haline gelmişlerdir. Bu çalışmada yeni teknolojilerin temel dil becerilerinin öğretimi için sunduğu olanakların neler olduğu ve bu teknolojilerin bu alana hangi katkıları yapabileceği konusu ele alınmaktadır. Buradan elde edilen bilgilerle hem yeni teknolojilerden dil becerilerinin öğretiminde daha etkin bir şekilde yararlanılmasına hem de geleceğin öğretmen adaylarının daha donanımlı ve daha nitelikli yetiştirilmesine katkı sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır.

Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are the basic skills that language teaching aims to have students acquire. Different methods and techniques have been used to teach these skills from the past to the present. Many different tools and devices have been utilized in the application of these methods and techniques, and the opportunities provided by technology have been applied. In recent years with the advent of technology, computers, tablets and smart phones have particularly become an indispensable source of language teaching, bringing enormous wealth and diversity to teaching environments. This study examines the possibilities offered by new technologies for teaching basic language skills and what contributions these technologies can make to this field. It is aimed to make use of the information obtained from this new technology more effectively in the teaching of language skills as well as contributing to the training of future prospective teachers more equipped and more qualified.
