Abstract

Anadolu'nun en eski mitlerinden biri olan Hitit mitolojisinde, Tanrılar ve Tanrıçalar yanı sıra hayvanlar da önemli bir yere sahiptir. Özellikle boğa, aslan ve kartal gibi güçlü hayvanlar, güç ve kudret sembolü olarak kullanılmıştır. Hititlerin inanışına göre, boğa güçlü bir Tanrı olan Teshub'un sembolüdür. Aslan ise, kralların simgesi olarak kullanılmıştır. Kartal ise, Tanrıların gökyüzündeki temsilcisidir. Anadolu'nun diğer önemli mitolojisi olan Frig mitolojisinde de, hayvanlar önemli bir yere sahiptir. Frigler, atları çok önemserlerdi ve atlarının gücüne inanırlardı. Bu nedenle, atlar Frig mitolojisinde önemli bir sembol haline gelmiştir. Ayrıca, Frig mitolojisinde kaplan da önemli bir yere sahiptir.
