With the increase in the time spent by young generations using technological devices in the virtual environment, their reading and writing habits have begun to change, and digital platforms equipped with literacy opportunities in the new media have begun to attract attention. With this interest, the ancient tradition of storytelling has been digitized with the new media and transformed into transmedia storytelling and has become a popular narrative style on social media platforms. One of the social media platforms where transmedia storytelling takes place is Wattpad, an online electronic book reading and writing platform. In this study, the most frequently used words in Turkish books on the Wattpad digital literacy platform and the frequencies of these words were determined. Thus, by comparing the words and frequencies used in Turkish transmedia storytelling, which has emerged as a new genre with technological developments, with the words and frequencies determined in previous frequency studies for Turkish written language, literary language, press language and course materials, the effect of new media and digitalization on Turkey Turkish written language was tried to be determined. The books examined in this study were selected from the teen fiction category with the Turkish language option on the Wattpad platform. The membership date, gender and reading rates of the authors of these selected books were revealed and the first 100 words used in these books, the frequencies of these 100 words and the total word ratio of these words in 10 books were determined. At the end of the study, the first 50 words most frequently used in the selected Turkish works on the Wattpad platform were compared with the first 50 words found in Yazılı Türkçenin Kelime Sıklığı Sözlüğü and Çağdaş Türkçenin Sıklık Sözlüğü, and it was determined that there were no major changes in the first 50 words used in Turkey Turkish written language and their frequency of usage, although there were different periods and corpus.en_US
