dc.description.abstractThis study investigates the mediating mechanisms that play a crucial role in the relationship between fear of failure and academic satisfaction and between fear of failure and procrastination. The study sample consists of 292 undergraduate students enrolled in different departments of the university. Within the scope of this study, emotion regulation difficulties may be one of the mediating mechanisms in this reciprocal relationship, the findings provide evidence that procrastination functions as a mediating variable in the relationship between fear of failure, difficulty in emotion regulation, and academic satisfaction while difficulty in emotion regulation acts as a mediator in the relationship between fear of failure and procrastination. Therefore, the findings of this study suggest that interventions aimed at improving the individual's emotion regulation skills may play an important role in overcoming the negative effects associate with the fear of failure on procrastination and academic satisfaction.en_US
