Çevre sorunlarına etik bir yaklaşım: felsefi bir sorgulama

Abstract

Philosophers, who are aware of talking about the life is not possible without environment, have seen that only people responsible for disturbing the natural balance and destructing activities and so put forth "environmental ethics" concept as a practical solution. However, environmental ethics as a discipline of philosophy was not recognized until the 1970s. Although numerous studies continue to be done on a philosophical perspective to environmental problems in the international scientific area, these studies are still in their infancy in our country. Therefore, we addressed the concept, development and future of "environmental ethics" in terms of a philosophical point of view. We consider our work into three main sections. In the first chapter, we tried to explain the description of the environment and the dimensions of the environment concept under the title of “general environment and today’s environmental problems." In the second part, we examined the definition of philosophy, discipline areas, the beginning of philosophy and relationship with environment, ethical approach to environmental issues and philosophical background under the title of "the relationship between philosophy and environment." In the third section, we focused on "environmental ethics" concept, historical development, environmental ethics approaches, and solutions of environmental issues. Finally, we tried to see the importance of environmental ethics concept and the aspects relating to the future.

Çevre olmadan yaşamdan bahsetmenin mümkün olmayacağının bilincinde olan filozoflar doğal dengeyi bozucu, yok edici faaliyetlerin tek sorumlusunun insan olduğunu görmüşler ve çözüm olarak etiğin uygulamalı bir alanı olan “çevre etiği” kavramını ortaya koymuşlardır. Ancak çevre etiği 1970’lere kadar felsefenin bir disiplin alanı olarak tanınmadı. Uluslararası bilimsel alanda çevre sorunlarına felsefi bir bakış açısıyla bakan çok sayıda araştırmalar yapılmaya devam edilmesine rağmen, ülkemizde bu alandaki çalışmalar halen emekleme aşamasındadır. Bu yüzden bu çalışmamızda “çevre etiği” kavramını, gelişimini ve geleceğini felsefi bir bakış açısıyla ele aldık. Çalışmamızı üç temel bölüm halinde ele aldık. Birinci bölümde “genel olarak çevre ve günümüzde çevre sorunları” başlığı altında çevrenin tanımını ve çevre kavramının boyutlarını incelemeye çalıştık. İkinci bölümde “felsefe ve çevre ilişkisi” başlığı altında felsefenin tanımı, disiplin alanları, felsefenin başlangıcı ve çevre ile ilişkisi, çevre sorunlarına etik yaklaşım ve felsefi arka planı hakkında inceleme yaptık. Üçüncü bölümde ise “çevre etiği” kavramını, tarihsel gelişimini, çevre etiği yaklaşımları, çevre sorunları çözümleri üzerine odaklandık. Son olarak çevre etiği kavramının önemi ve geleceği ile ilgili yönlerini görmeye çalıştık.
