Title: The effects of bureaucratisation on teacher morale in schools

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of bureaucratisation on the teacher morale of elementary schools in central Denizli, Turkey. The sample comprised 436 randomly selected primary school teachers. The data was collected by administering the Elementary Schools Bureaucracy Level Scale developed by E. Gaye Ermec and the Elementary School Teachers Morale Survey. Regression Analysis was used to determine the Impact of bureaucracy on teachers' morale. The results showed that bureaucracy has a significant Impact on teacher morale. The regression analysis showed that the predictability of bureaucracy level on teacher morale in the sub-dimensions: 'satisfaction with teaching', 'teacher load' and 'community pressure' differ significantly between public and private elementary schools.
