Yükseköğretimde okuyan öğrencilerin bilişsel stilleri aracılığıyla girişimciliğe yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi: Pamukkale Üniversitesinde bir uygulama

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı, Yükseköğretimde eğitim gören öğrencilerin bilişsel stilleri ile girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda Pamukkale Üniversitesi bünyesinde yer alan ve önlisans eğitimi veren Kale Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencileri ile Pamukkale Üniversitesi İktisadi ve İdari Bilimler Fakültesi, Eğitim Fakültesi, Mühendislik Fakültesi ve Turizm Fakültesinde eğitim gören toplam 680 öğrenciye anket uygulanmak suretiyle veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler istatistik paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan araştırmanın bulgularına göre; öğrencilerin bilişsel stilleri ile girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Alan bağımsız bilişsel stile sahip öğrencilerin, alan bağımlı bilişsel stile sahip öğrencilerden daha fazla girişimciliğe meyilli oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Muhasebe ile Maliye, İşletme Yönetimi ile İşletme ve Turizm ve Seyahat Hizmetleri ile Turizm Rehberliği öğrencilerinin girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Öte yandan Maden Teknolojileri ile İnşaat Mühendisliği ve Çocuk Gelişimi ile Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği lisans bölümlerinin girişimcilik eğilimleri arasında anlamlı farklılıklar tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca erkek öğrencilerin, kadın öğrencilerden, önlisans ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinin birinci sınıf öğrencilerinden, daha önce çalışanların, çalışmayanlardan daha fazla girişimciliğe eğilimli oldukları saptanmıştır.

The aim of this study is to show whether is there a relationship between entrepreneurship tendencies with the cognitive styles of the students in higher education or not. In this context, data were gathered by conducting a survey to 680 students from Kale Vocational School, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Tourism in Pamukkale University. The obtained data were analyzed through statistical software. According to research findings; there was a significant relationship between students' cognitive styles and entrepreneurial attitudes. It was also found that students having field independent cognitive style show higher entrepreneurship tendencies with respect to students having field dependent cognitive style. No significant difference was found among the entrepreneurship tendencies of Accounting-Taxation and Finance students, Business Management and Business Administration students, Tourism Travel Services and Tourism Guidance students. On the other hand, significant differences were determined among the entrepreneurship tendencies of Mining Technologies and Civil Engineering, Child Development and Pre-School Teacher licensing departments. It was also found that entrepreneurship tendencies of male students with respect to female students, associate second-year students with respect to first-year students and previous employees with respect to non-employees were higher.
