Therefore, this study aims to find out student teachers’frequency of internet access, watching TV and using social media, their media literacy levels as well as the differences between them in terms of receiving media literacy course. The groups of student teachers who received education in two different departments at a state university in Turkey were involved in the study. Thus, Turkish teacher candidates who received media literacy course and English teacher candidates who did not receive such a course were included and compared in the study.
