Hastaların %91’i 18-25 yaş aralığında idi.
The aim of this study was to compare the analgesic efficacy of parenteral single dose paracetamol, dexketoprofen trometamol and ibuprofen in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. This double-blind, randomized, study was conducted in the emergency department of an univercity tertiary-care hospital from April 2018 to April 2019. Patients with dysmenorrhea were randomized to paracetamol, dexketoprofen trometamol and ibuprofen groups. 100 mm visual analog scale (VAS), numerical scale (NSR) and additional symptoms were recorded. 300 patients completed the study. 100 (33.3%) of these patients were included in the paracetamol group, 100 (33.3%) of dexketoprofen trometamol and 100 (33.3%) of the patients were included in the ibuprofen group. 91% of the patients were between 18-25 years of age. The mean decrease in VAS scores was 5.78 ± 2.36 cm in paracetamol, 5.87 ± 2.22 cm in dexketoprofen trometamol, and 6.36 ± 1.83 in ibuprofen. Among all treatments, the effectiveness of pain reduction was compared with the repeated ANOVA test (p=0.023). Rescuer treatment was needed in 15 patients in the paracetamol group, 9 patients in the dexketoprofen trometamol group, and 5 patients in the ibuprofen group (p=0.055). There was no significant difference between the groups in terms of salvage treatments. As a result of this study, 1000 mg paracetamol, 50 mg dexketoprofen trometamol and 400 mg ibuprofen analgesic efficacy were observed in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.
