Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve cinsellik kalitesi ilişkisinde sosyal onay ihtiyacinin aracı rolü

Abstract

Bu çalışmada toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve cinsellik kalitesi ilişkisinde sosyal onay ihtiyacının aracı rolünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 18-65 yaş arası 576 katılımcı ile yürütülmüştür. Covid 19 Pandemisi sebebiyle ölçekler çevrimiçi platformlar aracılığıyla katılımcılara ulaştırılmıştır. Katılımcıların demografik bilgilerinin belirlenmesi için Kişisel Bilgi Formu, toplumsal cinsiyet algılarını ölçmek için Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Ölçeği(TRCO), cinsellik kalitelerini saptamak için Yeni Cinsel Doyum Ölçeği(YCDO) sosyal onay ihtiyaçlarını saptamak için Sosyal Onay İhtiyacı Ölçeği(SOIO) kullanılmıştır. Veriler, SPSS 25.0 programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada korelasyon analizi, Anova ve bağımsız örneklem T testi ve SPSS Process eklentisi kullanılarak aracı değişken analizi yapılmıştır. Anova ve T test sonuçlarına göre demografik değişkenlerin toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri, cinsellik kalitesi ve sosyal onay ihtiyacı değişkenine göre farklılaştığı bulunmuştur. Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ile cinsellik kalitesi değişkeni arasında pozitif, sosyal onay ihtiyacı ile anlamlı düzeyde negatif korelasyon bulunmuştur. Aracı değişken analizi sonucunda toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve cinsellik kalitesi ilişkisinde sosyal onay ihtiyacının aracı rolü olduğu bulunmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular alanyazınındaki bulgular eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the mediator role of need of social acceptance on the relationship between gender roles and sexual quality. The research was conducted with 576 participants aged 18 to 65. Because of the pandemic, the scales were delivered to participants through online platforms. The personal information form was used to determine the demographic information of participants, The Gender Roles Scale(GRS) to measure their gender perceptions, The New Sexual Satisfaction Scale(NSS) to determine their sexuality quality, The Social Approval Need Scale(SANS) to determine their social approval needs. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. In the study, correlation analysis, Anova and independent sample t test and agent variable analysis were performed using SPSS process plug-in. According to Anova and T test results,demographic variables were found to differ according to gender roles, sexuality quality and social need for approval. A positive and negative correlation was found between gender roles and the sexuality quality variable with the need for social approval. As a result of the intermediary variable analysis, it was found that the need for social approval plays an intermediary role in the relationship between gender roles and sexuality quality. The findings were discussed in the context of the findings in the field.
