Konuşma becerisini geliştirmek için kullanılan öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri ile ilgili çalışmalar üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Bu araştırma, konuşma becerisini geliştirmek için kullanılan öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerini konu alan çalışmaların bulgularından yönelimle konuşma becerisine yönelik yöntem ve tekniklerin niteliğine ilişkin bir görünüm sunmayı amaçlamıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması yöntemiyle yapılandırılan çalışmada 2010-2020 yılları arasında yayımlanmış ve ölçüt örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 32 makale ve 24 tez olmak üzere toplam 56 çalışma analiz edilmiştir. Veri toplama aşamasında doküman analizi ve meta sentez yöntemleri kullanılmış ve bu doğrultuda Google Akademik, YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi, Dergi Park, Ulakbim, Pamukkale Üniversitesi Kütüphanesi veri tabanlarından yararlanılmıştır. Nitel araştırmalarda kullanılması gerekli olan geçerlilik ve güvenirlik önemleri alınarak çalışma yürütülmüştür. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre: Türkiye’de konuşma becerisini geliştirmek için kullanılan öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri konu alan çalışmaların yıllara göre dağılımları incelendiğinde en fazla çalışmanın 2018-2020 yılları arasında gerçekleştiği gözlemlenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına alınan çalışmaların üniversitelere göre dağılımlarına bakıldığında ise en fazla çalışma gerçekleştiren üniversitenin Gazi Üniversitesi olduğu saptanmıştır. İncelenen 56 çalışmanın 32 tanesini makale 17 tanesini yüksek lisans tezi 7 tanesini ise doktora tezi oluşturmuştur. İncelenen araştırmalarda örneklem grubu olarak çoğunlukla öğrenciler kullanılmıştır. En fazla araştırma gerçekleştirilen yöntem teknik yaratıcı drama olmuştur. Ele alınan çalışmaların büyük çoğunluğu öğretim yöntem ve tekniklerinin konuşma becerisine olan etkisini belirlemeyi amaçlamıştır. Araştırma kapsamında incelenen çalışmaların 29 tanesi nitel 27 tanesi ise karma model ile desenlemiştir. Araştırmalarda veri toplama aracı olarak en fazla tercih edilen veri toplama aracı görüşme formu olmuştur. Araştırmaların sonuçlarına ilişkin bulgular incelendiğinde ise yapılan çalışmaların konuşma becerilerini geliştirme üzerine olumlu bulgulara ulaştığı gözlemlenmiştir. Araştırmacıların en fazla öneride bulundukları konu ise konuşma becerisini geliştirmede yöntem/teknik kullanımının gerekli olduğudur.

This research aimed to present a view of the quality of methods and techniques for speaking skills, based on the findings of studies on teaching methods and techniques used to develop speaking skills. In the study, which was structured with the case study method, one of the qualitative research methods, a total of 56 studies, including 32 articles and 24 theses, published between 2010 and 2020 and selected by criterion sampling method, were analyzed. In the data collection phase, document analysis and meta-synthesis methods were used and in this direction, Google Scholar, YÖK National Thesis Center, Dergi Park, Ulakbim, Pamukkale University Library databases were used. The study was carried out by taking the importance of validity and reliability, which should be used in qualitative research. According to the results obtained from the research: When the distribution of the studies on teaching methods and techniques used to improve speaking skills in Turkey by years is examined, it was observed that the most studies were carried out between the years 2018-2020. When the distribution of the studies included in the research according to the universities is examined, it was determined that the university that carried out the most studies was Gazi University. Of the 56 studies examined, 32 were articles, 17 were master's thesis, and 7 were doctoral dissertations. In the studies examined, mostly students were used as the sample group. The method with the most research was technical creative drama. The majority of the studies discussed aimed to determine the effect of teaching methods and techniques on speaking skills. 29 of the studies examined within the scope of the research were designed with qualitative models and 27 of them were designed with mixed model. The most preferred data collection tool as a data collection tool in studies was the interview form. When the findings related to the results of the studies are examined, it has been observed that the studies have reached positive findings on improving speaking skills. The issue that the researchers make the most suggestions is that the use of methods/techniques is necessary to improve speaking skills.
