Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the mediating effect of well-being in the relationship between personality traits and internet addiction. This descriptive study was conducted using a quantitative research approach and the relational survey model. The sample of the research consisted of 452 students. PERMA Scale, Young's Internet Addiction Test Short Form, and Quick Big Five Personality Scale were used in the study. In this study, a negative relationship was observed between the personality traits of agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, openness to experience, and internet addiction, but no relationship was observed between extraversion and internet addiction. The results show that well-being plays a full mediator role in the relationship between personality traits and internet addiction. Researchers can prepare psychoeducational programs to reduce internet addiction and plan experimental/semi-experimental studies to determine the effectiveness of these programs.
